  • New Extended Hours

    Fairfield Public Library and Fairfield Woods Branch Library will have extended evening hours beginning Monday, January 24, 2022. The hours for both buildings are as follows:

    Monday - Thursday: 9:00 am - 8:00 pm
    Friday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
    Saturday: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
    Sunday (until late Spring): 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

  • In-Person Tax Assistance Starts Tuesday, January 25, 2022

    Fairfield Public Library welcomes back VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) to assist low- and middle-income households and seniors. Tax assistance is available every Tuesday starting January 25 until April 12, 2022, from 9:30 am until 4:00 pm. No appointments necessary; first-come, first-served. Bring all necessary tax forms and identification. Click here for more details.

    Adults! Get ready for a fun, exciting new year-long reading challenge starting in January. Join in to explore different genres, discover new authors and be entered to win prizes.   • Children and Teens: Register now for FPL's Winter Reading Challenge!

    From January 1st to February 19th, Fairfield Public Library is participating in Beanstack’s Fifth Annual Winter Reading Challenge, sponsored by Lerner Publishing Group. “Read for a Better World” encourages readers of all ages to explore diversity, empathy, and action through literature. Our community has unlimited access to Lerner’s “Read for a Better World” themed books for the month of January through the challenge activities! Get more details here.
