The Cheerleaders takes place in Sunnybrook. There have been no cheerleaders for five years because of a tragedy that led to all the cheerleaders dying. Five years ago, two were killed in a car accident, followed by two more girls killed by a man who then shot himself, and the last girl, Monica’s sister, committed suicide, haunted by memories of the past. No one wanted the reminder of the great tragedy and of the cheerleaders disbanding. However, everyone wants to bring the cheer squad back after five years, except Monica. Monica’s world gets turned upside down when they bring the cheerleaders back, and she realizes that somehow she is at the center of it all. She is determined to find out what truly happened and why it keeps coming back to her.
