How It Feels to Float by Helena Fox surrounds the protagonist, Elizabeth. She just lives her life, going to school and back, doing her work, talking to her mom, and talking to her dad. As she seemingly makes her way through the everyday life of a young girl growing up. She faces regular normal challenges, things are hard but one can overcome anything with enough thinking. It just so happens that her thinking comes in the form of talking to her dad for his opinion. If she asks or not she’ll get a quick response or comment from her dad. Starting all the way from birth she always got along quite well with her father, going through day-to-day life. Her father would comfort her or talk about daily life, at home, in her room, and at school. At school? How could he possibly be with her at school?
