Marisol lives in Cuba with her loving mom and dad, where they spend days outside looking at bright colorful flowers and reading books together. But when a revolution breaks out in the country, Marisol is forced to leave her parents behind and flee to America, without the two people she loves. When she gets to America, she finds it hard to fit in, and to find joy in this new world. But slowly, with tIslahe help of her caring foster parents, and her beloved books, she starts to see the beauty in her new home.
