The Summer We Forgot by Caroline George follows the story of Darby and Morgan. Several years ago, Darby and Morgan had a falling out and didn’t talk to each other anymore. Although they have drifted apart, the two reunite when the death of their science teacher returns to the news. In addition to Darby and Morgan, five other kids in their school had been selected to take a two-week training course and work at a summer camp led by their science teacher all those years ago. None of them remember the training course, summer camp, or much else that occurred that summer. The seven work to remember what they had forgotten in hopes of getting to the bottom of the death of their science teacher, but that’s hard to do when everyone is hiding what they remember.
