Rule Of Wolves by Leigh Bardugo

Rule of Wolves picks up where King of Scars ended. It follows Nikolai Lantsov, who must prepare for the looming battle with Fjerda. However, a threat looms that he can’t defeat. Nikolai must learn to embrace the monster within, just as Zoya must learn to embrace her powers in order to be the weapon her country might just need to face Fjerda. But Zoya has already lost so much to war. The story also follows Nina Zenik, who is inside Fjerda’s capital, where she risks being discovered. Can Nina continue to heal her grieving heart, or will her longing for revenge cost her? Together, Ravka’s king, general, and spy must work together to forge a path into the future for their nation, or see it fall.

In the story, we get to see multiple characters’ perspectives. Leigh Bardugo does a wonderful job at writing this way. Having to follow multiple people throughout may seem intimidating, but it makes the book so much more interesting and engaging. Read Rule of Wolves to find out if Nikolai, Zoya, and Nina can save Ravka and its people.
