Who can get an Fairfield Public Library Educator Card?

Nonresident Teachers, paraprofessionals and administrators currently employed in a Fairfield public or private school or childcare facility are eligible to apply for an FPL Educator Card.

How do I apply?

Apply for an FPL Educator Card in person at the Fairfield Public Library or at the Fairfield Woods Branch Library during operating hours. Please be prepared to show your government photo ID as well as one of the following:

  • Your current school-issued or program-issued photo ID with the current school year
  • A current paystub, or other documentation that validations that you are teaching in the current year
  • A current letter on the school’s or program’s letterhead confirming employment

Is there a fee for an Educator Card?

An FPL Educator Card is free for teachers working fulltime in Fairfield, CT.

What can I borrow with an Educator Card?

FPL Educator cards can borrow all circulating library materials and have access to digital resources such as Kanopy, for the sole purpose of educating the students of Fairfield.

How long can I keep materials borrowed with my Educator Card?

Do Educator Cards expire?

Educator cards expire one year from date of issue. Bring one of the acceptable ID listed above to Fairfield Public Library or at the Fairfield Woods Branch Library to renew your card.
