The Last Graduate is the second book in The Scholomance series. It builds on the story of the first book, A Deadly Education, in which the reader follows the story of El. El has gained friends throughout the first book, and this book begins with El, Orion, and other Scholomance students. This is their graduation year, and they all are pushing to survive this last year of tests. El’s class fears graduation, which always entails a deadly ritual in which only a few students will make it out alive. As determined as ever, El makes it her mission to get her and her group through graduation and its ritual. This means working together. Throughout this book, the reader follows the twists and turns as these characters try to set aside their differences and come together for the ultimate goal, survival.
