Dear Justyce by Nic Stone

Many 16 year olds undergo pressure from school and other obligations, but nothing compared to highschool student Quan. With a parental role over his siblings and the fear of his mothers abusive boyfriend, Quen often feels hopeless. He does what he thinks will provide his loved ones with a future by doing well in school. He can not put up with this act for much longer as he eventually ends up in a detention center. After experiencing and seeing the injustice in the judicial system, Quan seeks a new mission, helping a young boy overcome his unfair sentence. As he continues to compare the punishments and crimes of various people, the issue is obvious. For his father, for his family, for him, he must make a difference.
