Beth is dead by Katie Bernet is a very well crafted and intriguing murder mystery, perfect for young adults. This fun story is a spin off the lives of the March sisters (from Little Women by Louisa May Alcott). When Elizabeth is found dead in the snow on New Year’s day, her 3 sisters, Jo, Amy, and Meg, are heartbroken. Their lives are turned upside down. Bernet adds intense emotions and meaningful descriptions that make the characters and events come to life. In the end, the March sisters use their wits, bravery and resourcefulness to uncover the truth of Beth’s death.
