Caplan, the charismatic prom king of high school, has been friends with Mina, the shy valedictorian of the school, since they were kids. In their last year of high school, they both become entangled in their own romantic interests. They never viewed each other as anything other than friends.
As they finish up their last year of high school, the anxiety and pressures of adolescence get to them, with their romantic emotions getting the best of both. They don’t know how to feel about each other after Mina begins to change so much. Mina begins to explore her life socially, while Caplan begs for things to stay as they were. Both of them have to work together to figure out where they’ll stand, right before high school ends.
Six More Months of June Shows an aspect of adolescence that most people want to forget: growing up. I recommend this book to anyone finishing up their last year of high school, or experiencing struggles with changing their social life.
