A complicated love web emerges once a new student, Luke shows up to Bexley School.
Everyone at school believes that Sage and Charlie are perfect for each other, they just don’t know it yet. That all changed when Luke began to pull apart the soon-to-be fairytale romance. When Charlie’s twin brother joins the mix, things get even more complicated.
Both Sage and Charlie don’t know how to deal with all their complicated emotions, and they don’t really want to lose each other. Never having confessed their love to each other, they don’t truly know where the other stands. The mix of high school pressure, and uncertainty of love, makes it a hectic year for all 4 students involved.
If We Were Us is a great book that shows how complicated high school love can be, but it shows the audience a good ending. I recommend this book to anyone who is experiencing unrequited love or wants to see an intertwined love web.
