As two sisters face the truth about their father, they are challenged in returning back to a somewhat feeling of normalcy. Grief affects both them and their mother and adds more complexity to their otherwise conventional relationship. As the book alternates between Camino in the Dominican and Yaharia in America, more of their day to day life is shown and leaves room for contrast between their two lives. Overall this book is a great read in the light of comprehending the effects of a sudden death.
