How Do I...

For Fairfield, Connecticut residents

Library Cards are available free to all Fairfield, Connecticut residents.

With your library card you are eligible to check out books, movies, magazines, museum passes, access our databases, download books & music from our website, use the Internet and more.

The maximum fine threshold is $25. When the fines on your library card reach or exceed $25 you will be unable to borrow material. To continue to have access to our resources, your fine balance must be paid down so as not to exceed $24.95. Library cards expire every three years, at which time fines must be paid in full, and lost items returned or paid for, before your library card can be renewed. You can pay your fines with a credit card online, or with cash or check in person at the circulation desk.

A Fairfield Library Card is honored at Fairfield University, Sacred Heart University, and all public libraries in Connecticut. Fairfield Residents may apply for a library card using form at the bottom of this page.
