Early Literacy Classes (Birth – Age 5)

Registration Classes

Registration classes are offered weekly and registration opens one week prior at 8pm on our Events Calendar. Our wide variety of classes are based on the age of the children: pre-walkers, walkers, toddlers, and preschoolers. Space is limited and based on room size to ensure the quality of each class.

Drop-In Classes

Drop-in classes are offered outdoors without a space limit or indoors with tickets. No previous registration is required. Drop-in tickets are given out 30 minutes before the start of each class at the Children’s Desk.

At the Fairfield Woods Branch Library, the Thursday drop-in class is identical to the Tuesday registration class. We ask participants to choose one class per week to accommodate as many families as possible.

Offsite Classes

Our offsite classes are regularly offered at the Sherman Green, Fairfield Museum and History Center, and Penfield Pavilion. These outdoor classes are drop-in with no space limit, weather permitting.
