We focus on a single genre or author each month. Librarians lead the discussion: history, popularity, seminal works, adaptations. You are asked to read anything from that genre or author and then share your book, or sit back and listen. Go home with a new list of books to read.

Since its inception many different authors have been chosen, either by the leader or suggested by members of the group. All are welcome to join at any time. This is a book group for those who enjoy informal discussion and hearing the different viewpoints of the members. You don’t need to preregister and you are welcome whether or not you were able to finish the book.

The Next Chapter Book Club is an inclusive, community-based book club for neurodivergent and differently-abled teens (16 and up) and adults. Our goal is to enjoy books, share stories, make friends, and engage with the community. There is no homework with this book club! We share the book at the meetings and start with a recap so new participants can always join! This book club meets bi-weekly and welcomes participants of all reading abilities ages 16 and up. Caregivers are welcome to attend. Registration is required.

A brand new book club for 2025 focusing on the popular segment of Romantasy books, a blend of fantasy and romance. FPL staff facilitate the discussion of a new Romantasy title each month. This club meets virtually via Zoom. Registration is required to get the link.
