Our library provides ongoing meetings of small groups of dedicated writers (no more than 8 people in each group) actively seeking support and motivation while providing constructive criticism to fellow writers.

The article includes information about our annual writers conference which is held in December. Our thanks to Fairfield Magazine for their permission to post the article on our website.
Each group has a Facilitator who will:
- Keep all group members informed of meeting times and dates and changes
- Keep the group on track with its agenda to write regularly and read written works
- Seek out different exercises/ideas for group members
- Maintain contact with Library Liaison: Deputy Director Karen Ronald - kronald@fplct.org or 256-3158. Email Karen and report on meeting .
- Recommend resources for the Library to consider purchasing to support the group
- Keep group members aware of related programs such as Author Talks, Writing Conferences, etc.
Each group member will commit:
- To participate actively at each meeting
- To write for each meeting and be ready to read
- To provide constructive criticism of the works of each other
- To suggest exercises/programs for the group
