Just for Writers

The first week of April marks the beginning of a new library program -- ongoing meetings of small groups of dedicated writers (no more than 8 people in each group) actively seeking support and motivation while providing constructive criticism to fellow writers.

Each group has a Facilitator who will:

Keep all group members informed of meeting times and dates and changes
Keep the group on track with its agenda to write regularly and read written works
Seek out different exercises/ideas for group members
Maintain contact with Library Liaison: Deputy Director Karen Ronald - kronald@fplct.org or 256-3158. Email Karen and report on meeting and inform Karen if the group wishes to continue meeting throughout the summer and beyond.
Recommend resources for the Library to consider purchasing to support the group
Keep group members aware of related programs such as Author Talks, Writing Conferences, etc.

Each group member will commit:

To participate actively at each meeting
To write for each meeting and be ready to read
To provide constructive criticism of the works of each other
To suggest exercises/programs for the group
