Teen Room

The Teen Room was created during the renovation of the building. It is a separate space for teens to gather and includes materials specifically chosen for teens. Online computers for teen use are also available in the room. Click here for more information about the teen programs at the library.
The Periodical Room
The Periodical Room houses more than 275 magazines, journals, newsletters and newspapers. The floor is the original marble mosaic which was refurbished during the renovation. |

The Bruce S. Kershner Gallery
The Bruce S. Kershner Gallery displays the works of local artists. The Friends of Fairfield Public Library manage the gallery and the shows which change on a regular basis. |

Memorial Room
The Memorial Room is a meeting room with a traditional motif. The walls are decorated with murals of colonial maps and the names of colonial war heroes from the town. A fireplace, a grand piano, and flexible seating are among the room's amenities. The room seats up to 63 people. |

Rotary Room
The Rotary Room can accommodate up to 125 people and has a projector mounted in the ceiling and a wall mounted screen in the front of the room.

Jennings Room
The Jennings Room is a small conference room which can accommodate up to 15 people. With its glass enclosed book cases, wooden furniture and sunny windows, it makes a perfect location for a small meeting. |

The Harold B. Harris Computer Lab
The computer lab includes 15 computer terminals that are available for public use. Library "hands on" computer classes are held in the lab. Each station includes internet access as well as Word, Excel, Publisher and Access. |

The Circulation Desk
Patrons now check-out and return materials at our bright roomy circulation desk. Patrons can also get a view of the Bruce S. Kershner Gallery from the circulation desk. |

The Information (Reference) Desk
Located in the center of the library, the adult Information (Reference) Desk is the place to go for help. The desk is staffed during every hour that the library is open. Click here for information on reference services.

Study Rooms
Four individual study rooms are available for group study.
Reservations for the study rooms may be made a week in advance by contacting the Reference Desk at 203-256-3160.
Room sizes vary from accommodating 4 people to 8 people. |

Quiet Reading Room
The Quiet Reading Room is tucked away in a quiet corner of the library. The room also houses the collection of books in mulitple copies which have been set aside for use by local book groups. |
