Do you love being with young children and having fun at the Library?
Sign up to be a summer volunteer at the Fairfield Main or Fairfield Woods Branch Children’s Library!
We need teens to help children sign up for the online summer reading game, hand out prizes, show movies, help at events and much more.
Volunteer a minimum of 2 hours per week for a few weeks or all summer — it’s up to you!
All interested volunteers must attend a mandatory one-hour training session (choose 1) – click on the date to register!

The first Saturday of each month, beginning in October, from 10 AM to 4 PM
The Fairfield Public Library’s Service Saturday Program is ideal for teens that would like to complete community service hours for school, religious organizations, clubs or any other purpose.
This ongoing volunteer program will occur on the first Saturday of the month beginning in October at the Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road.Teens will assist in various tasks, including organizing and caring for collections, preparing for programs, and general clerical work. Jobs will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
No registration is required. Teens should check in with the volunteer coordinator in the Teen Room to receive job assignments.
