Summer Volunteer Opportunities
Do you love being with young children and having fun at the Library? Apply to be a summer volunteer at the Fairfield Main or Fairfield Woods Branch Children’s Library!
We need teens to help children sign up for the online summer reading game, hand out prizes, show movies, help at story times, special events and much more. Minimum requirement: 2 hours per week.
All interested volunteers must complete an application, and if selected, attend a mandatory one-hour training session in June, dates to be announced.

The Fairfield Public Library’s Service Saturday Program is ideal for teens that would like to complete community service hours for school, religious organizations, clubs or any other purpose.
This ongoing volunteer program will occur on the first Saturday of the month beginning in October at the Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road.Teens will assist in various tasks, including organizing and caring for collections, preparing for programs, and general clerical work. Jobs will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
No registration is required. Teens should check in with the volunteer coordinator in the Teen Room to receive job assignments.
