The downUNDER Teen Space at Fairfield Woods Branch Library

Open Monday through Thursday from 2:50 pm – 4:45 pm


The downUNDER is a librarian-supervised, free, after-school program open on a drop-in basis to students in grades 6 and up. The downUNDER is a place where students can receive homework help, utilize a computer lab, or simply hang out with friends. Students may also participate in daily activities from crafts and gaming to trivia organized and lead by the Young Adult Librarian. The downUNDER is open Monday-Thursday from 2:50-4:45pm when school is in session.

Please note we close early on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Students using the library on those days need to make arrangements to be picked up by 5pm.

Join us on Mondays in February and get a chance to experiment with building your own video game using Bloxels.  February 5, 12, & 26.


For February, we will be continuing our Dungeons and Dragons campaign. And, as always every Tuesday we will be setting up the Xbox for group gaming or use one of our laptops from our mobile computer lab to game online with a group of your friends. February 6, 13, 20, & 27.


In February, we are celebrating the crafty side of Pinterest.  Every week we select a handful of the most popular crafts on Pinterest and you vote to choose which craft you try to duplicate. February 7, 14, 21, & 28.


Think you know it all?  Prove it and join us in the downUNDER on Thursdays for our Kahoot trivia challenge.  Bring your own device or use one of our laptops.  Laptops available on a first come basis. February  1, 8, & 22.
