The downUNDER Teen Space at Fairfield Woods Branch Library

Open Monday through Thursday from 2:50 pm – 4:45 pm


The downUNDER is a librarian-supervised, free, after-school program open on a drop-in basis to students in grades 6 and up. The downUNDER is a place where students can receive homework help, utilize a computer lab, or simply hang out with friends. Students may also participate in daily activities from crafts and gaming to trivia organized and lead by the Young Adult Librarian. The downUNDER is open Monday-Thursday from 2:50-4:45pm when school is in session.

Please note we close early on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Students using the library on those days need to make arrangements to be picked up by 5pm.

Time to play! Bring in your new E or T games to play on our Xbox One or just play ours. September 5, 12, 19, & 26.


It’s the first month of school so spend some down time in the downUNDER on Wednesdays and join us for a relaxing, easy classic craft.
