Learning Totes

Thanks to a generous grant from the Friends of the Fairfield Library, the children’s library has developed thematic materials for young children in large colorful canvas bags called Little Learners Circle Time Totes. The bags are filled with books, music CDs, DVDs, and lists with poems or finger rhymes, crafts, and activities. The library staff has assembled these bags to offer fun and educational materials for adults to use with groups of children. We hope these kits will help children develop creativity and a love of reading.

Little Learners Circle Time Totes have been designed for children ages 2 to 6, but other ages of children may also enjoy them. The bags may be used by daycare providers, nursery school teachers, grandparents or anyone who will be teaching or spending time with a group of young children.

Before you can check out a Little Learners Circle Time Tote, you will be asked to sign a form agreeing that you will take care of these materials and assume responsibility for any lost or damaged items.

Eight of the tote bags circulate from the Fairfield Woods children’s desk and eight circulate from the main library children’s desk. The tote bags must be returned to the location where they were checked out. They are designed to be used at home or in a daycare setting and cannot be used while in the library.
