Community Learning

Libraries are places of discovery, and this is especially true at Fairfield Woods Branch Library.  As a neighborhood library, we offer a variety of programs that are designed to offer a continued opportunity for growth and learning for all ages.

Books & Banter – This popular book group is led by Laurie Weiner; meets one Thursday per month at 1:30.  See our Event Calendar for the schedule of titles.

Woods Book Group – Librarian Claudia Silk facilitates this discussion group on the last Wednesday of most months.  Check our Event Calendar for dates and titles.

CraftSalon DIY – On the first Saturday of the month, join us for great crafting programs!  Registration is required.

Purls of Wisdom Knitting Group –  Thursday mornings at 10:00 am; for knitters of all ages and skill level!  One Thursday a month, stay and chat about books with the Purls of Wisdom Book Group.

Talking About History with Dr. Mona Garcia – Come and learn about history with Dr. Garcia’s four-part programs.  Her presentations are a patron favorite – always fascinating, insightful and entertaining.  On Monday evenings at 6:30.

These are just some of the great opportunities to learn together at the Branch.
