Books & Banter – This popular book group is led by Laurie Weiner; meets one Thursday per month at 1:30. See our Event Calendar for the schedule of titles.
Woods Book Group – Librarian Claudia Silk facilitates this discussion group on the last Wednesday of most months. Check our Event Calendar for dates and titles.
Sew Crafty Saturdays – On the first Saturday of the month, join us for great crafting programs! Registration is required.
October 1: Wine Glass Coaster – Autumn is here, these wine glass coasters are perfect for kicking off the holiday festivities.
November 5: Placemat Inserts – These mats will serve all your dining room needs. You’ll be able to insert a holiday print, your family crest, or a birthday wish. Interchangeable and “sew” versatile.
December 3: Hanger Covers – Beautiful closets – who doesn’t love them? Join us as we sew together fabric covers that will make you smile every time you walk into your closet or give them as the perfect gift to someone special.
January 7: T-Shirt Quilt Demonstration – Special guest Eleanor Burke will talk about the ins and outs of making a t-shirt quilt. She will demonstrate the techniques so that you feel confident in tackling this project at home.
Purls of Wisdom Knitting Group – Thursday mornings at 10:00 am; for knitters of all ages and skill level! One Thursday a month, stay and chat about books with the Purls of Wisdom Book Group.
Walking at Woods – Fridays until October 28, 9:30 am: Walkers of all ages and abilities are invited to meet at hte Library to go on a 30-45 minute walk around the neighborhood. Come walk and talk with us about your past, present and future reads! Meet us at the Flag Pole to begin! Drop-in program.
