Fairfield Woods Branch Library Book Groups

The Fairfield Woods Branch Library hosts three regular book that meet on a monthly basis. Join us for one or all of them!

Woods Book Group

The Woods Book Group meets the last Wednesday of most months at 2 pm in the Small Meeting Room.  As a group, we have mainly read historical fiction along with some contemporary literary fiction titles. Past favorites have included The Tenderness of Wolves by Stef Penney and The Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks.

We are an informal group and welcome new people at any time. Feel free to come to all meetings or just one and enjoy a lively discussion with a welcoming group of people.

Books & Banter

The Books & Banter Book Group meets varied Thursdays, depending on the month. We meet in the Small Meeting Room at 1:30. We are a drop in group, with great research, discussion and banter about varied titles. We have discussed everything from memoirs and nonfiction to prose and fiction.

Purls of Wisdom Bookclub

Enjoy great books and knit, too! Bring a bag lunch, if you like, and any handiwork you may be working on.  Meeting on the third Thursday of each month in the Small Meeting Room, this is a drop in group.  All levels of knitters and crocheters are welcome.
