Walls Within Walls by Maureen Sherry

Book Review by Ms. Leslie

Do you love games, puzzles, or scavenger hunts? Have you ever wondered who lives in those apartments overlooking Central Park? This book tells the story of 4 siblings who move from a modest home in Brooklyn to a luxury apartment in Manhattan when their father strikes it rich with his video game company. Their disappointment about leaving their old neighborhood is soon forgotten as they discover the apartment is full of clues to a family fortune. The previous owner, a multimillionaire named Mr. Post, left hints to the fortune in a series of puzzles hidden behind the walls. The answers lead send the kids on an elaborate scavenger hunt throughout New York City’s historic sites and landmarks.

I really enjoyed learning about the secret places buried in New York while trying to decipher the next clue! This fast paced story was a fun adventure.
