The Caldecott Medal was named in honor of nineteenth-century English illustrator Randolph Caldecott. Just announced! 2014 Newbery Medal winner: Flora & Ulysses: The Illuminated Adventures, written by Kate DiCamillo and published by Candlewick Press.  The 2014 Newbery Honor Books are: Doll Bones by Holly Black; The Year of Billy Miller by Kevin Henkes;  One Came Home by Amy Timberlake, and Paperboy by Vince Vawter.
