Ms. Mary - Head of Children’s Services

DSC03850I was born in California, but really, am a proud Texan married to a Norwegian. I recently became a mom to a little baby girl, Heidi, and have been a mom to a cute mutt named Miss Cordelia Chase (Cordie, for short). I was a competitive soccer player for over 20 years, but when I moved up north, I became a runner.

Ms. Kristina – Children’s Librarian

KristinaI’m a Boston girl through and through! I love Steampunk (I even had a Steampunk wedding.) I love Victorian Gothic novels and am writing a middle grade novel entitled Claudette & the Bibliotheque! I currently live in Kent, CT with my new husband and our mini-zoo of animals (Mercedes the pup, Hermione and Houdini-the kitties).

Ms. Beth – Children’s Librarian

BETHS5One of my favorite things at the library is to coordinate the Bookworms Group which gives young readers the chance to be book critics, selecting and recommending books to their peers. I am a long-time Fairfield resident who loves to swim and ride my bicycle around town. I love to travel with my family. I was honored to serve on two Award Committees for the American Library Association: Batchelder Award committee for best translated Children’s Book and the Andrew Carnegie Medal for best Children’s video.

DSC03854I have appeared on stage and screen, recorded for Weston Woods, and performed live Radio Shows. Acting and directing are my passions. Also children! I love having conversations with  children and am still wondering what I will be when I grow up.

JudyI love talking about books with all the great readers that visit the Fairfield Woods Branch! I’ve lived in Fairfield for 20 years, and brought my two sons to the library to play the summer reading game – even before I worked here. It’s great to back at the Branch!

I grew up and lived in the Bronx (NYC) before my family moved to Fairfield, CT. I have a wonderful husband and three terrific sons. I enjoy working in the library because the library is a treasure chest of information and fun things to discover.

Favorite Chapter Book: Iron Thunder by Avi (but I love historical fiction, so this was a really difficult decision)

tin JenI  have two awesome kids and have lived in Fairfield for 15 years. I love traveling and having adventures and I have  even lived abroad. My pets (two dogs and a cat) are really, really naughty, but I totally love them anyway to the moon and back! Ask me what trouble they’ve been up to this week…

LeslieI have two dogs: a little Norwich terrier, Hobbs, and a big golden retriever, Murphy. I love the beach and take every chance I can to go to Florida. I also love to paint, especially watercolors, but never seem to have enough time to do it.

Ms. JoleenI live near the beach in Fairfield and when I’m not at the library, I love to read (surprise!), hike and take lots of pictures of my three children, two cats and one dog. I love spaghetti, movies and chatting with my little friends at the library!

GinnieI have lived in Fairfield since 1976 and have three grown children, 8 grandchildren and a husband of 50 years! I taught preschool for 25 years. I love spending time with my grandchildren at the beach.

Hot Air Balloon childrenI was born in Canada and lived there until I was 26. I have two boys-one aged 4 and one aged 8. I can play 5 instruments: piano {fairly well}, flute, clarinet, violin and guitar {not so well :)  }
