The Fairfield Woods Branch Library is now home to a freshly-planted vegetable garden, courtesy of the many preschool helpers that attending our Garden storytime and planting event on Friday, June 6. Pig Joins the Band

Story Time at Fairfield Woods ended on a “HIGH” note!  We conducted our “Woodsie Band” with bells, rhythm sticks, and a xylophone and performed our own version of the sound of music!  We read Little Pig Joins the Band and used the CD for added sound effects.  The Children’s SongBag by Paul DuBois Jacobs contains many simple compositions without sharps or flats, which can be banged out on the xylophone.  We made a cardboard guitar as a… Read More
